You force me to click "its up to us"... bad start. I don't agree with that but you offer no alternative just like the fascist right. Anyway, I only offer a most pessimistic viewpoint if you care to read it. One that says what everyone tries to do is good but is in the end a moot point, much ado about nothing. You cannot change a worldwide system that is owned by a handful of men who manipulate even you good people. Read on.

Hi Howard. Welcome to Black Box Voting.org.

I didn't bother to click on your link because I don't agree that "It's up to us" is a bad start.
Sorry, but I've witnessed too many citizens making a difference by getting involved in their local elections to think otherwise.

No one "forced" you to do anything. You're either part of the solution or part of the problem.

Howard: I agree with Pat. What a shame you have such a defeatist attitude about the country you live in. All it takes is one voice to generate the power of the people, for the people. I glad I'm instilling the same values in my children. They believe that they can change the world for the better and as long as there are people out there who believe that they can make things better and move on there beliefs the world will be a better place for everyone.

Hi, Howard,

You say, "You cannot change a worldwide system that is owned by a handful of men who manipulate even you good people."

I respond to that with a quote from Albert Einstein:

quote:

"The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."

I hope you will gather your courage, get your second wind, and join us in taking back our elections.

(This thread was moved to General Discussion, since "Reports from the Front Lines" is for citizens on the front lines of exercising oversight over their government.)
