I thought in 2000 and 2004 that the Exit Polls were my poor man's way of getting an indication that something was amiss... perhaps that elections were being rigged. Even if the results are reported accurately this time (and I don't trust them, now that I see how tightly controlled they will be), we will not see them until later, this time, apparently. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,227559,00.html "WASHINGTON — Exit-poll data will be under lock and key Election Day to help networks avoid the Bush-Gore debacle of 2000 - and prevent bloggers from trumpeting results before the polls close." [...] "The consortium, the National Election Pool, is conducting exit surveys of the hotly contested Senate races and the 32 competitive gubernatorial races - but they won't be touching the three dozen House seats up for grabs." |

I saw this article too and I am PISSED. First of all, after the 2004 election, the AP pollsters at least, went behind locked doors and "matched up" their exit poll results to fit the election results. Does anyone else have a problem with this? Are there any exit poll takers out there that are not private companies that will be collecting data? Even Zogby thoroughly disappointed me in the last election by bowing to political pressure and making excuses for his data differing from the final results, rather than stand up for his data and say "perhaps", something is wrong with the election RESULTS. Exit polling has proven to be ridiculously accurate. Why all of a sudden the secrets? If anyone knows of a TRUSTWORTHY, non-partisan, publicly funded exit poll being taken throughout election day, and possibly a website I can watch to follow the results in each state, I would greatly appreciate it. Bill, exit polls must be done away with or taken control over. If not, then it would be harder to manipulate and control the vote to get the (Republican) outcome that is necessary to protect the country. Why do you hate Democracy so much? If there were exit polls, they might show that the votes in major congressional and/or senate races didn't match the final tabulated totals. That could cause concern in the population, possibly resulting in civil unrest. Then, the TERRORISTS WOULD WIN. We can't have that. Controlling the exit polls is part of the strategy of keeping America safe. But thanks for asking. Now, go back to watching CNN and feeling "informed." We'll bring you news of the "Republican miracle comeback" Tuesday evening, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern. |

In 2004 they talked about delaying exit polls too, but they ended up getting released by the AP. Everyone may not agree with me completely, but in areas that we have the most fraud, I believe that exit polls are the most accurate indication of the vote, I think they have always told us who won. Later the exit polls are invalid because of the fraud. |
