Which are the hacks that come to your mind that are:
A) provable
B) serious; i.e. resulted in "many" votes being altered or added

A) Is a problem, many hacks are provable only by inference, because the evidence is very difficult to get a hold of (recounts difficult, poll books taken out of the hands of recounters, etc.).
B) Vote flipping (especially electronic, but still all vote flipping) leaves the smallest evidential foot print when using an untraceable vote.

I agree with Brant.

also..
1) Allowing ballot handling fraud and errors.
2) Keeping voters from counting their own vote.
3) Keeping voters from verifying their vote after the election results are in.
