Lynn Landes has been doing the talk show circuit trying to stir up interest in her lawsuit:

Voting Systems Lawsuit Reaches U.S. Supreme Court
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060130/phm029.html?.v=38

She is doing this on her own, and is frustrated that she seems to be getting no help in the form of amicus briefs, or even discussion. Lynn lost in Philadelphia federal court, lost the appeal in Samuel Alito's Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and now faces him again in the Supreme Court.

Lynn "challenges the constitutionality of federal and state laws and policies that allow voting by machine or absentee in elections for public office". I can't tell if it has merit, but she seems to have a good grasp of the issues and the law. Any hints as to why she is alone on this one?

We'll be doing a feature on Lynn this weekend. We wanted to read over the lawsuit and some of the case cites so we could do more than just print a press release.

Lynn Landes is a brilliant thinker, and quite courageous to do this lawsuit.

Why she is alone on this one? It's a good question. One thing about her that stands out here is that she does not compromise. I think it has a lot to do with it.

She is not alone on this. Black Box Voting will be running an article on this shortly. Instead of simply recapping a press release, we wanted to review the case first and provide a more substantive story.

Lynn Landes is an extraordinary woman.

Arnold,

IMO, it's the willingness to compromise in election reform that got us into this mess.

Like Ion Sancho of Leon County, Florida, Lynn Landes is a true American hero.
