Has anyone checked out whether Black Box Voting is being wiretapped. I can't think of anything that would scare GWB more than BBV proving he is in office courtesy of Diebold, et al.

Seems I placed this post in the wrong forum. Moderators feel free to move it to where it should have gone in the first place-as a new thread. Sorry bout that!

(Moved to General Discussion)

I've been wondering the same thing. We had general surveillance during the 2004 election -- really obvious and clumsy sometimes. On Election Day, when it rained all day, a window washer cleaned the window into our office all day long. Wow. Several hours to clean one window.

Another was a cleaning lady, supposedly. It was really quite funny. We first saw her in the elevator. I asked her what floor she wanted and she said "oh, I'm just cleaning the elevator." It didn't really look like it, but oh well. Later, on another trip upstairs the same day, my husband and I got off the elevator. Our office was down at the end of a long hallway. She was standing near the elevator with a vaccuum cleaner. It was not turned on. My stepson, who was helping us move boxes, opened the office door down at the end of the hall and she apparently wanted to get a look in. She ran down the hall lickety split pushing her vacuum. She didn't know me and my husband were looking at her. The hall was long, and on her full-tilt run with the vaccuum, she ripped the cord out of the socket. So sad. The door closed when she was soooo close.

Are the records of who was wiretapped available yet through FOIA? And would they be honest in fulfilling FOIA requests?

Cheers,

Bev Harris

"Are the records of who was wiretapped available yet through FOIA? And would they be honest in fulfilling FOIA requests? "

They are unlikely to be available via FOIA. Even the legit (FISA approved) wiretaps won't be available for FOIA for a long time. All part of the Patriot act.
