1. Black Box Voting sent the Harri Hursti report, by registered and/or certified mail, to every secretary of state and every jurisdiction in the U.S. and Canada that uses Diebold machines.

2. Public officials, once notified of the vulnerability, have a fiduciary duty to take appropriate actions.

Appropriate actions should include asking the vendor, with whom the purchase contract is executed, to respond (in writing) to the allegations.

Appropriate actions should also include notifying state board of elections and/or secretary of state and requesting guidance.

Appropriate actions should include setting up mitigation procedures.

3. Black Box Voting sent a follow up public records request several weeks after sending the report, requesting all correspondence, memos, and emails pertaining to the Hursti report. A copy of the public records request is included below.

4. In some locations, elections officials are having meetings, or Diebold officials are showing up to address the issue. Citizens: Try to find out if and when meetings will occur, so you can videotape Diebold's official response, and/or the official response of state officials. File a report here.

5. Show your support to public officials who act responsibly and show integrity and openness.

Bev, am I understanding correctly that you sent the the PRR to every location and SOS across the States?
If so, it will be interesting to see how San Diego and CA respond to you(chuckle, chuckle); I'm just waiting

The public must be able to see and authenticate these four essential steps for an election to be public, democratic, and valid: (1) Who can vote (voter list); (2) Who did vote (3) The original count; (4) Chain of custody.
