Best of Black Box?
Votes: 1

Posted on Thursday, July 28, 2005 - 3:44 pm:

Hi, paniq, and welcome to Black Box Voting.

I think another thing that speaks against it is the content of the memos we have from the programmers. Clearly, they do not see the design as a flaw, but they do see it as a way to have flexibility to change things on the fly.

Of course, if you want to change things on the fly, that throws certification out the window since it currently takes 8 months to certify a voting system.

Glad to see your comments,

Bev Harris

The public must be able to see and authenticate these four essential steps for an election to be public, democratic, and valid: (1) Who can vote (voter list); (2) Who did vote (3) The original count; (4) Chain of custody.
