Yes, yes, yes. Call your county registrar's office now to see if you need any paperwork to qualify to go inside at poll closing. Everyone should see the process at least once. |

Even though the BBV Citizen's Toolkit was last updated for 2008, it is quite relevant and useful. In some places they allow observers, but only at a distance. As I recall the toolkit has advice. |
